So, as some of you may know, I used to make these terrible game music “remixes” under the alias Kilu for a good while. At the time of this writing the newest song in this page is from 2007 or thereabouts. It took some work, internet crawling and the help of the wayback machine, but I managed to get them in some sort of release order. As most of the exact dates have been lost in time, I categorized them into more or less accurate lumps of time.
They are all quite terrible no doubt, especially the early stuff. I never was much of an arranger and the quality of the samples and my “mastering” skills were really quite bad. I pretty much stopped making anything but chiptunes at some point, one reason for that was the terrible sample quality of “real” instruments I had at my disposal at the time. So, you may get a few chuckles from these, but probably not something that you want to save permanently.
I should probably also mention that some of these have been “re-recorded” into mp3s sometime after the original release, and may not sound as they did originally. I have this bad habit of going back to supposedly finished songs and tweak them for whatever reason, and then when I end up losing the original mp3s in a hard drive crash or something, I have only the tweaked versions to re-record from. If by chance you have any of the original mp3s on you, or maybe even something I’m missing completely, please do get in touch with me, I’d really like to get all my old shit back. I’m not actually 100% sure if I even need any of the originals anymore, as I did get a bunch of them back from a dude over at VGMix temporary forums a good while ago.
#### – Feb 2002: Since VGMix was launched early 2002, I decided to make the first lump out of the stuff I definitely made before its launch. As far as the order goes, I’m only sure about the first song being really the first. Rest is just mostly alphabetical. Additionally, some of these eventually made it to the first incarnation of VGMix as well, but they were originally done before it.

Chrono Trigger – Bike Chase 1,08 MB
Double Dragon III – USA Warehouse 0,9 MB
Feb 2002 – Nov 2002: The VGMix section, the biggest lump of them all. Chances are that some of the songs here were actually made before I knew of VGMix (or even before its launch) but more than likely eventually ended up in there. Additionally, there might be songs here that didn’t make it to VGMix for some reason or another, but were still made during this period of time. The order is somewhat correct.

Nov 2003 – Feb 2006: VGMix2 section. During the temporary forums between VGMix1 and VGMix2 I only released the Lolo 3 song, but later ended up updating it a bit and “re-released” it in VGMix2, thus its place is in this lump. It’s perhaps worth of note that the Lolo 3 song is so far the last song where I attempted to use real instrument samples. Everything after that has been pure chiptunes in the NES-like flavor.
Adventures of Lolo 3 – For_Lala! 1,55 MB
Resident Evil: Code Veronica X – Breaking the Stone 2,33 MB
Tyrian – Fourteen Photosynthesies 2,26 MB
Feb 2006 – ####: I have, so far, done only couple songs between then and now, one of which had been on the back burner for quite some time.
Arcana – Angry Safari Shirt 1,29 MB
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Cornered (chip cover) 1,46 MB
Other stuff: Nothing interesting to say about these really. Satan’s Dark Delight was a mod that I randomly found in modarchive. Both Cadaver covers were made during my involvement in the Tracked Metal Scene.
Puke Cover – Satan’s Dark Delight 3,18 MB
Cadaver Cover – Chiptune-powermetal 2,22 MB
Cadaver Cover – Metal Within 3 3,50 MB
